ABOUT ME

My name is Kaili, I'm 25 years old and i'm from central Massachusetts. I have a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a minor in graphic design.

I work well in interactive, collaborative environments and am easily motivated. I'm an organized individual and life long learner.

As a LEED green associate, sustainability is one of my passions. I aspire to continue learning about sustainable design and how to lessen the impact on the environment while maintaining

a beautiful aesthetic.

WHAT I'M DOING

I currently work in the greater Boston area at the residential interior design firm, Katie Rosenfeld Design.

I assist Katie, owner and designer with every KRD project from beginning to end. I am responsible for space planning, furniture and lighting plans, schedules for paint & wallpaper, tile & stone as well as lighting fixtures. I assist with design development and sourcing of furnishings, fixtures and textiles and maintain contact with vendors to detail the size and specifications of custom furniture. I prepare the client design presentations and also regularly visit and monitor the progress of job sites. Due to the small size of the firm, all four of us wear many hats and I really enjoy getting my hands dirty and experiencing my different and always evolving roles within the company.

WHAT I'VE DONE

In 2017 I graduated from High Point University in North Carolina. In my time as a student I had the opportunity to work with several different companies in the Spring and Fall International Furniture Market in High Point. This has given me a wide variety of experience ranging from behind the scenes showroom set up, to furniture sales and customer service experience. I also interned and worked directly under the interior designer of L. Moore Designs while completing my studies. Shortly after graduation I became a LEED Green Associate and enjoy continuously learning about sustainable design.

Post graduation I was offered an opportunity to live and work on Martha's Vineyard. I spent a year with Martha's Vineyard Interior Design as a design assistant where I was primarily responsible for space planning, product proposals and preparing design presentation packages for clients. Additionally I measured and drew existing conditions and assisted in the sourcing of furnishings and fixtures. I gained experience in pricing and preparing product specs, installations, and assisting in the staging for photoshoots of the finished projects.
